Along with the maintenance and filling of AdBlue DEF system on Mercedes Sprinter vans and many other German diesels, a whole new challenge to the owner has been added.
DEF is used along with Selective Catalytic Reaction SCR to lower emissions of Oxides of Nitrogen NOx.
The AdBlue system has a tank, pump, heater, injector and NOx sensors. Everyone of those parts has been known to fail, and we not only know how to repair them, we know how to diagnose and test the system, as well as reset the start countdown before you are locked out from driving your Sprinter van.
If any one of the AdBlue sensors, NOx sensors, tank, injector, pump, heater or even contamination of the fluid occurs, the engine can go into a a start countdown that is very real and will leave you stranded if ignored!
Our factory Xentry diagnostic scan tool allows us to clear and reset the start countdown after repairs.
